It is difficult to forget a turning point in history.
Few
other events in recent memory have done more to expose our arrogance, our
ignorance, our greed, paranoia and basic disregard for human life. We hide
behind our insecurity to justify our self-righteous indignation, willful
blindness, double standards and docile conformity.
There are some things we can
never forget. There are other things we can never remember because we probably never
knew them in the first place.
