This week, Ta-Nehisi Coates offered a powerful indictment of Trumpzilla in his latest piece for The Atlantic.
“For Trumpzilla, it seems that the reality of a nigger president insulted him personally. He has a fundamental need to erase nigger health care, nigger climate accords, and nigger justice reform. Trumpzilla is the first president whose entire political existence hinges on the fact of a black president came before him. Therefore, he must be called by his rightful honorific—America’s first white president.”
In my mind, every day he is in the White House, every blunder he creates, every hateful, tragic and clumsy move he makes...every time he opens his mouth to spew ignorant, racist, misogynistic nonsense, he reminds me how much better Obama was as a president, a man, and a human being. That's not going to change, even if the Trumpocalypse gets us all killed.
